Origin Wiki for Standards

The Wiki for Standards originated at the first Language Standards for Global Business (LSGB) which was held in Berlin, Germany in December 2005. The last session of the Berlin summit brought together all the speakers and delegates to discuss the outcomes and next steps. The second conference was held in Barcelona in May 2006. A working group of language service providers will continue the discussion in Montreal in October 2006. The next Language Standards for Gobal Business will take place in Vienna in December 2006 (see *Vienna 2006).

After discussions with the participants and with many who could not attend, it was decided to use this Wiki as a gathering point for language standards.

As the Wiki is online, the results of the conferences as well as standards and draft standards may be entered in order to create an inventory of all relevant language standards.
